Librarian of Congress: Carla Hayden’s Senate Confirmation Hearing Scheduled For Next Week
UPDATE: Along with the live video stream that will be available, Library Journal will also be live tweeting the hearing.
A major step on the path for Dr. Carla Hayden to become the next Librarian of Congress will take place next week.
On Wednesday (April 20, 2016) at 2:15 p.m. (EDST) Dr. Hayden will go before the Senate Committee on Rules & Administration for her confirmation hearing.
The hearing will be webcast live with an archived version becoming available shortly after it concludes.
The live stream will be accessible on this page that also contains info about submitting statements for the record. Materials can be submitted up to five business days after the adjournment of the hearing.
UPDATE: The hearing will also be broadcast and streamed live on C-SPAN3. This means a keyword searchable version of the hearing will become available here (via C-SPAN Video Library) once it concludes. The C-SPAN video library allows registered users (free) to create custom clips of material.
