New Online Resource for Regional Business and Demographic Research Now Available From U.S. Census

January 11, 2016 by Gary Price

From the U.S. Census:

A new Web application, Census Business Builder: Regional Analyst Edition now available in beta, allows users to easily explore data from Census Bureau economic programs and the American Community Survey for a user-defined economic region built from one or more counties.

This second edition of Census Business Builder follows the successful launch of Census Business Builder: Small Business Edition, which provides statistics for a single type of business and area on the same demographic and economic characteristics as the new edition. A new feature of the regional analyst tool is the ability to build a region from one or more counties and create a report for the entire region and the individual business sectors within the region.

Additional features:

  • Trend charts to identify changes over time for selected data.
  • Ability to compare data with neighboring counties.
  • Downloadable and printable reports with regional summary- and county-level information.
