Social Media: Facebook Passes 1 Billion Daily Users in Q3 2015, Mobile Access Up 27%
From Telecompaper:
Facebook passed 1 billion active daily users in the third quarter, an increase of 17 percent year-on-year and up from 968 million in the previous quarter. Of the total, 894 million accessed the social network each day over a mobile device, up 27 percent from a year ago. Monthly active users rose 14 percent year-on-year to 1.55 billion at the end of September, including 1.39 billion mobile users.
From Business Insider:
Facebook’s chief executive Mark Zuckerberg announced during the company’s third-quarter earnings call that Facebook and Facebook-owned Instagram receive a total of over 8 billion video views per day by more than 500 million users. This is double the 4 million daily video views that Facebook boasted earlier this year, but includes autoplay videos — videos that play automatically in a user’s News Feed — and does not take into account total time watched by users.
