GPO’s MetaLib Metasearch Tool Adds New Features & Discover New Archived U.S. Government Web Sites
MetaLib from the Government Printing Office (GPO) provides a single interface to search multiple U.S. government databases simultaneously.
Today, the GPO announced some enhancements to MetaLib.
1. A new MetaLib QuickSet called “Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)”
Available in the Advanced and Expert Searches and includes:
- Air Force Freedom of Information Act Electronic Reading Room
- Central Intelligence Agency Freedom of Information Act Electronic Reading Roo
- Federal Bureau of Investigation Vault
- FOIA.gov
- U.S. Department of State Freedom of Information Act Electronic Reading Room
2. Eight New Databases Available via MetaLib
- Air Force Freedom of Information Act Electronic Reading Room
- Central Intelligence Agency Freedom of Information Act Electronic Reading Room
- Department of Energy OpenNet
- FOIA.gov
- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Historical Maps and Charts
- Office of Minority Health Resource Center Catalog
- U.S. Department of State Freedom of Information Act Electronic Reading Room
- U.S. Fire Administration Library Catalog
3. Also New from GPO:
- New FDLP Web Archive Titles – new archived Government websites within the scope of the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP).
- Newly Ceased Titles -continuing/integrating resources that no longer have new issues produced or are no longer updated.
