Environment: New Climate Initiatives Database Available Online
A new online database called the Climate Initiative Platform is now available, containing data on more than 180 climate initiatives worldwide.
The database was commissioned by the Nordic Council of Ministers and developed by Ecofys with support from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and the World Resource Institute.
The 184 initiatives to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions involve more than 20,700 participants, according to the site. Of these initiatives, more than 25 relate to energy supply and nearly 50 related to renewable energy. Of the participants, half represent subnational governments and about a fourth represent companies.
