Search Underway For New FEDLINK (Federal Library and Information Network) Executive Director, Job Posting Live

A job posting for the FEDLINK executive director position was posted for the first time today on the USAJobs.gov website.
The position is based at the Library of Congress and has a salary range of $126,245.00 to $158,700.00 / per year.
The deadline to apply is June 20, 2015.
Kathryn Mendenhall is currently serving as Interim Executive Director.

The Federal Library and Information Network (FEDLINK) is a network of Federal agencies working together to achieve optimum use of the resources and facilities of Federal libraries and information centers by promoting common services, coordinating and sharing available resources, and providing continuing professional education for Federal library and information staff. FEDLINK, hosted at the Library of Congress, serves as a forum for discussion of the policies, programs, procedures, and technologies that affect Federal libraries and the information services they provide to their agencies, to the Congress, the federal courts, and the American people. Under the authority of Public Law 106-481, the FEDLINK program operates a revolving fund to support the interagency procurement of information resources and other library support services.
The incumbent in the position serves as the FEDLINK Executive Director who administers the FEDLINK program and operations, and serves as the fund manager for the revolving fund. The Library is seeking an individual with creativity and ambition in order to grow and transform the FEDLINK program into a leading consortium for the 21st century. Building on fifty years of successful consortial performance, the new Executive Director will be expected to lead the organization in developing new programs, reengineering processes, furthering the collaboration of Federal agencies, and representing Federal libraries and information services to the broader library and information community.
