Some Newly Updated Statistics About the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC)
Earlier this week a post on 025.431: The Dewey Blog from the DDC team at OCLC (publishers of the classification) included a chart with some updated statistics about, “the database associated with the English-language version of DDC 23.”
- There are now 40,151 explicit numbers in the DDC schedules
- Currently 29,959 mappings of DDC to LCSH (Library of Congress Subject Headings)
