The National Library of Ireland Seeks €12 Million ($14.4 Million) For Vault Amid Concern For Collections
The cash-strapped National Library of Ireland is seeking Government backing for a €12m repository amid concerns over the security of its valuable collections.
Talks have taken place involving the library, Trinity College and UCD about a shared facility, the Irish Independent has learned.

Security at the library was reviewed earlier this year after it emerged a staff member allegedly stole at least €80,000 worth of valuable books over a number of years.
Hundreds of books, including some known as the Sean O’Casey collection, went missing.
