European Public Libraries Release Promo Video: “Libraries Change Lives”
We’re always interested in seeing/reading/learning about how libraries promote and brand themselves and the many services they provide to both current users as well as to those who are unaware of what public libraries have to offer.
With that in mind…
Public Libraries 2020, an initiative in the EU run by the Reading and Writing Foundation, recently released the video embedded below.
The video is described this way on the group’s blog:
On 10 December, Public Libraries 2020 published a 90 second animated video highlighting how public libraries in Europe strengthen communities and help people: Libraries Change Lives. The video was officially launched at the Dutch National Public Library Conference by H.R.H. Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands, Honorary Chair of the Reading & Writing Foundation and Patron of the Dutch Public Library Association.
The video shows some of the challenges of the 21st century and how Europe’s 65,000 public libraries work every day to help people meet those challenges. We encourage you to watch the video and share it with colleagues, partners and friends.
