Susan Spilka began her new job at CHORUS (Clearinghouse for Open Research in the United States) today.
From a CHORUS Blog Post by Howard Ratner, Executive Director
Susan joins CHORUS by way of Wiley, where she led Corporate Communications for two decades, and served as the company’s chief spokesperson during a period of tremendous company and industry change. No stranger to the scholarly publishing community, she developed communications strategies, campaigns, and content for company, industry, and public-private initiatives including CrossRef and Research4Life.
Prior to her tenure at Wiley, Susan held marketing and corporate communications positions for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and New York City Council President Carol Bellamy. She received her B.A. from Reed College and is currently completing Certification in Digital Media Marketing from NYU.
Reporting to me, Susan will serve on our Communications Working Group and will be responsible for CHORUS’s marketing, communications, and business development. In the coming months, she will help develop our key partnerships and build our membership ranks.
