Infographic: Total Staff Expenditures and Total Operating Expenditures of U.S. Public Libraries, 2011
The team at Data-Planet has used their repository of officially sourced statistical data to create an infographic visualizing total staff expenditures and total operating expenditures of U.S. public libraries in 2011. The data itself comes from the Institute For Museum and and Library Services (IMLS).
Public libraries report total operating expenditures of almost $11 billion in fiscal year 2011, with total staff expenditures representing 66% of this total.
