Africa: Malawi’s National Library Service Will Hit the Road with New Mobile Service Launching Next Week
Malawi’s National Library Service will launch a mobile book service next week.
You can take a look at the vehicle that will distribute books and other reading materials and learn more in this Facebook post.
From the Malawi National Library Service Facebook Page:
Our mission is to ensure that people of Malawi have access to educational, training, recreational and informational materials for national development.
In its expansion programme, the National Library Service is trying to reach out to people of all ages and all levels of literacy with appropriate and suitable reading materials that would enhance the promotion of reading. It is believed that once a reading culture is promoted, it will lead to improved education standards at all levels. The mobile library will increase access to reading materials beyond the traditional library service points.
