The library system renewed a 2-mill levy and added a new 0.9-mill tax, and the Metroparks won a 0.9-mill levy.
From a T-LCPL News Release
According to the Lucas County Board of Elections, Issue 23 passed by nearly 66 percent of the 191,687 total votes cast on the levy.

The Library’s successful levy included 2.0 mills that will expire at the end of the year, and a .9 mill addition. The funds generated will be used to recover some of what patrons lost in 2009 (reduction in hours, books, materials) when Library funding was cut by the state.
