OverDrive Names Industry Veteran Don Fabricant To Lead Efforts in K-12 Market
From OverDrive:
As OverDrive brings its industry-leading eBook-lending platform to more schools in the United States and beyond, the digital distributor announced that it has hired an education-industry veteran to lead its rapidly growing K-12 eBook service. Don Fabricant—who previously held executive posts at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Eduventures and Thomson Learning—will serve as OverDrive’s General Manager of Education and Chief Sales Officer.
“I want to build on our success in public libraries and optimize our offerings for the school market,” says Fabricant. “School eBooks are an unstoppable trend, and we’re excited to get more students reading with the best eBook-lending platform and the most content from pre-K through high school.”
OverDrive now serves more than 3,500 schools in the U.S. and internationally, enabling millions of students to borrow eBooks and digital audiobooks from their school library for use on all major e-reading devices.
