Joe and Rika Mansueto Library (University of Chicago) Selected as a Finalist in City of Chicago Innovation Awards

The University of Chicago Library is one of 75 finalists for the 2012 Chicago Innovation Awards, selected from a pool of almost 400 nominations. The Library innovation under consideration is the Joe and Rika Mansueto Library—which has garnered international attention for its soaring elliptical glass dome, breathtaking Grand Reading Room, state-of-the-art preservation laboratories, and 3.5-million-volume-equivalent automated storage and retrieval system.
