Brill Acquires Foreign Law Guide
From Brill Publishing:
Brill is pleased to announce that it has acquired all publication rights to the Foreign Law Guide. As of today, the Foreign Law Guide will be published under the prestigious Martinus Nijhoff imprint out of Brill’s Boston office.
Founded in 1988 by editors Thomas H. Reynolds and Arturo A. Flores [both from the University of California, Berkeley], the Foreign Law Guide has established itself as the leading online guide to foreign law. The essential service reports on more than 170 jurisdictions worldwide and is an unparalleled resource for researching primary and secondary sources of law.
The continued participation of the founding editors within a new and expanded editorial team will provide continuity in editorial policy and standards. Brill will invest in the design and implementation of a new content platform engineered to enhance the overall user experience.
“We were looking for a good and solid home for our database, a publisher with the will and capacity to build on its reputation and to invest in a new online platform,” adds Thomas Reynolds. We are very pleased to remain involved as editors in the new editorial team and look forward to the continued development of the Foreign Law Guide.”
