Congratulations to Sarah Houghton (aka Librarian in Black)!!!
We will let this Marin Independent article provide you with the details but I wanted to offer a shout out to our friend and colleague, Sarah Houghton (who many of you know as the Librarian in Black) on being named the new director of the San Rafael (CA) Public Library.
It goes without saying that with Sarah at the helm, the San Rafael Public Library will be a place (if not THE place) the entire library world looks to for not only vision but real world examples of 21st librarianship.
San Rafael should be commended for putting such a passionate and hard working advocate for libraries, librarians, access to information, and privacy in charge of their library.
Now, details about Sarah Houghton’s new job from the Marin Independent.
