Library Board Reaches Tentative Agreement with Toronto Public Library Workers’ Union Local 4948

The Toronto Public Library Board reached a tentative agreement with the Toronto Public Library Workers’ Union Local 4948, which represents the library’s 2,300 library workers.
Once the agreement has been ratified by both the Local 4948 membership and by the Toronto Public Library Board, library services will resume.

Library staff will vote on the deal Thursday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Prince Weston Hotel in North York. Their union, CUPE Local 4948, said details of the proposed contract would be kept secret until it is ratified.
