Canada: Public Libraries: "Library’s Porn Decision Deferred"
Via London (Ontario) Metro News:
A plea to ban pornography at city libraries will be considered next month.
Josh Morgan, chairman of the library board, said a request that the library install porn filters on computers will be discussed during the board’s annual review of its Internet policy.

Others at Thursday’s meeting suggested a different approach to the issue. Sarah Simpkin, a UWO library sciences student who spoke on behalf of London’s Progressive Librarians Guild, said filtering computers could limit access to information.
Simpkin urged the library board to consider placing “privacy screens” on computers and arranging computer work stations so people walking past can’t see the screens.
