Arizona: "'Sexy' Children's Book Pulled from Library Shelves"
A valley mom who pushed to have a book banned from her daughter’s school library has succeeded. Hilary Lockhart says the book ‘Lovingly Alice’ contains graphic details about sex and shouldn’t be available to kids.
Lockhart, the mother of an 8-year-old from Quayle Run Elementary, was shocked when she flipped through the pages of Lovingly Alice.
“As I flipped through, I’m in shock. I was like, I have to go talk to your principal about this,” she says.

According to the American Library Association, Lovingly Alice is the second most challenged or banned book in libraries in the last decade.
Lockhart says she’d be fine with a sticker on the book that prevents it from being checked out to kids younger than a certain age.
