"Library Ebook Lending Under Attack" by Paula Hane
In an Information Today NewsBreak, Hane takes a look at the HarperCollins/Library eBook story and provides a useful roundup with links to many useful documents.
Btw, here are three collections of non-library/non-info industry press about what some refer to as #HCOD (HarperCollins/OverDrive) that we posted on INFOdocket. We have another collection of articles that we plan to post this week.
We can’t think of another “library” story in recent years (ever?) that has received as much mainstream press attention as this one. Stories involving web search, Google Book Search, eBooks, THE PATRIOT ACT, etc. of course have a library angle but we’re referring to a story that is squarely focused on libraries.
