USA Today compiled the 2011 salaries for every player on every team. The Rays have the second lowest payroll in the majors, at a little more than $41 million (the lowest: Kansas City at $36 million). Not surprisingly at the top of the list: the New York Yankees at $202,689,028.
The most expensive player on the team’s payroll this year is Johnny Damon, with a salary of $5.25 million. Evan Longoria is ninth on the list, earning an even $2 million.
