Reference: Collection of Historic NASA Sounds Launches on SoundCloud
Several tweets point to a new collection of sounds from historic and current NASA spaceflights that is now available from NASA on SoundCloud.
The BBC has more:
More than 60 samples have been added to the agency’s new dedicated Soundcloud account, but listeners are unable to leave comments underneath the files.
Astronaut communications, including “Houston, we’ve had a problem” and “the Eagle has landed”, can be heard – as well as some more abstract noises made by working spacecraft and debris.

Btw, since I know we have several NASA/space geeks out there some of these audio files have been available online for a couple of years on this NASA web site page. Having them available on SoundCloud makes them easier to access, use, and share.
