Salt Lake Public Library Selects New Director
From the Salt Lake Tribune:
The long search for an executive director of the Salt Lake City Public Library System is over.
Say hello to John G. Spears, 39, who has been director of the Naperville Public Library in suburban Chicago.
Compensation for the Salt Lake City post includes an annual salary that ranges from $103,000 to $142,000.
Spears, who boasts an impressive résumé and has been director of several libraries, had never been to Salt Lake City until he arrived for an interview last week. It was something like love at first sight.
