From LAC:

Library and Archives Canada (LAC) would like to thank those who took part in the digital photography pilot project, Crowdsourcing Digitization. Fifteen people participated in this pilot and provided us with 20,000 images from LAC holdings which have been made available online.

Although this phase of the project has now ended, LAC will be pursuing other crowdsourcing opportunities in the future. Other projects to digitize items from the LAC collection are also ongoing.
