Tulsa: George Kaiser Family Foundation Purchases Woody Guthrie Archives

The George Kaiser Family Foundation has recently purchased legendary folk singer Woody Guthrie’s comprehensive archives.
The archives will be housed in the Mathews warehouse near Brady and Boston Avenue and include original musical recordings, books by and about Guthrie and personal journals.

The Woody Guthrie Center is slated to open in late 2012 and the archives will arrive in early 2013.
The archives will be open to the public.
